Mack von Mayen is a very handsome 5 year old German Shepherd mix with a calm and gentle demeanor.  Mack was brought to us when his owner died. He is so grateful for some kind attention and a soft bed. He is lower key for a shepherd but soulful and connects well, gazing into your eyes with appreciation, and would prefer that his people are home more.  His favorite place in the world is simply hanging out right next to you, soaking in all the attention and affection he can get.  He's in a wonderful foster home now, doing great with the people and other dog there. An easy dog to walk, he remains calm and polite when meeting both new people and other dogs. He's doing well with house training, knows how to sit, is very gentle taking treats, and enjoys playing with balls. During playgroups when he was at the rescue, he was a relaxed mingler who enjoyed exploring the yard at his own pace, while consistently returning to people for pets.  He's passed small dog and cat testing. With his calm, appreciative nature, Mack will be a devoted and soulful companion.
